Random Thought 1-22-09

I noticed awhile ago while browsing through my blog that I have not been actually posting anything relevant to what is going on with my life or what not. I figured my blog has taken it’s “serious side” lately and I actually think it’s good (or not). I cannot think of anything to blog about and even if I might have any idea what to write I am not quite motivated enough to write anything. In short, I am just freaking  lazy these days. I am pretty sure I have mentioned enough about the weather already so yeah, that won’t do either.

If you are one of those who even bothered or cared about reading my profile here in my blog, rest assured that I am not a lunatic.  Since my blog is actually losing it’s “humor” what better time it is to write about my “stupidity?” Right?

Everybody knows that I don’t drive. It is not a SHOCKER so please save yourself from having a heart attack. I either take the bus or subway train every single day to work or anywhere around the city. Riding the bus or subway train don’t really bother me what pisses me off is when people tend to be so nosy that they need for me to explain to them why I am not a “driver” nor own a car. To me, that is not your business!  But holy mother of goose! Some people don’t get it!

Anyway, this one happened to me a year ago or so.  I just got out of the train on a typical Monday morning…busy, crowded and people are just going about their business. I on the other hand were on my way out of the Blue Line Monroe station when suddenly an old man just cut me off from my line, then stood in front of me…on the escalator and I just ignored him. Well, that was my plan anyway: TO IGNORE HIM.  Pow! That was a HUGE mistake on my part. You see, after a few seconds standing behind him on  the escalator he just totally passed out gas…as in he FARTED on my face! Not once but TWICE! I guess I was so shocked that it left me speechless! I could not utter a  single word or react to what just happened! I mean, what can I say when someone just farted on my face? Twice! Besides, how can I be rude to a senior citizen anyway? Yelling to everyone behind me that I just got farted on would be another mistake! Some might think I am delusional but am not! It was stupid and yucky!

When I told my friends what happened to me they just started laughing their a** off! Ha ha ha! Bulls eye! And yes, I forgot to mention that it was very, very stinky!

Heath Ledger

I know that I have not been blogging for the past months. Not sure how long but it did seem like an eternity before I feel that I am once again ready to blog. I was just being lazy and bored that I have decided to take a break from blogging. Gawd! I missed ranting!

Well, for the most part I have been busy with my so-called life. Been working like a maniac, sleeping whenever I get the chance (what? am I a vampire now?) and enjoying the summer season while I still can. As you already know, we have a very short summer season here in the States (in Illinois)…just 90 days to be exact. Actually, I didn’t feel like it’s summer because I don’t think we have suffered so much heatwave compared what we have last year. But, I don’t wanna randomly talk about the weather right now. I will have plenty of time to talk about the dismal weather in my upcoming post.

I was utterly surprised and somewhat devastated with Heath Ledger’s passing earlier this year. I am not a huge Heath Ledger fan though I’ve seen some of his movies and it is quite clear to me that he got a lot of talent. I really admire him in A Knight’s Tale and The Patriot. I have not seen 10 Things I Hate About You though. My buddies thought he was exceptional there. I swear I have to rent the movie next time because my curiosity is killing me!

Anyway, I had the chance to watched the new Batman movie–Dark Knight last week with my friends. I honestly, have no idea what to expect since it’s another Batman movie. The Dark Knight was a very brilliant and fantastic movie! I highly recommend it to anyone who are having second thoughts of watching the movie. I think the movie itself is perfect—except that I had a terrible time trying to understand Batman. I mean, what the fcuk with that weird voice? It was very annoying. I just wanted to smack Christian Bale right there and then! Oh, Heath Ledger’s Joker portrayal was so morbid and quite disturbing too. My whole Batman experience was no doubt one of the finest…this year!

Random Quote 2-6-08

“Our most basic instinct is not for survival but for family. Most of us would give our own life for the survival of a family member, yet we lead our daily life too often as if we take our family for granted.”

                                                    -Paul Pearshall-

I happen to read this meaningful quote on my sister’s “mini calendar” (Daily Calendar 2006) sitting on my computer desk. I have so much stuff piled up on my desk that I sometimes get overwhelmed with all the unnecessary clutter.  Yesterday, I did a little bit of “cleaning up” on my desk and I was about to throw away the mini calendar. Knowing myself, I would just carefully read things over and over before I would finally decide to shred every piece of paper that I have on my desk. I am glad that I didn’t because I actually love reading quotes and reflect on what I read.

I grew up with my siblings together with a bunch of cousins. Most of my cousins that I grew up with are married and have their own family now yet I still missed all the good and bad times of my childhood. I learned a lot about myself since I started living here in the States. I become more independent that I sometimes think that I can always conquer anything on my way. My independence has its pros and cons, too. It’s hard for me to ask for help when I needed one and I feel invalid if I do. I feel weird depending on anyone especially my family. No one has ever call me selfish before but I feel that I am becoming one. Is it just my way of thinking or am I really becoming selfish?

I hope not…..

Apologize

From the very first moment that I heard this song played on the radio I became speechless. The song has impacted me so much that I even thought of myself as selfish and self-centered. I know that I am not a perfect person and I may not always be right on decisions that I made in the past but I do think about the people that I may have wronged. If there is one thing that I could change about myself I would say that I wish I was wiser back then. If only I could relive my life I would’ve been more expressive and open about my feelings towards the people that I care. Is there such a thing as reading people’s mind? Will I ever know the logical reason why some friendships fall apart? I guess, everything happens for a reason. Ah, life is like a cryptic puzzle. The more I think about it, the more I become mystified by my own enigmatic life.

Btw, band’s name is OneRepublic (featuring Timbaland)

Reasons why I blog…hmm..is there?

Reasons Why I Blog

There is no doubt in my inquisitive mind that I am now becoming a blog addict. I started writing diaries during my freshman year in high school and what started as simple writings about “boys of my dreams” evolved into something deeper throughout my adolescence and abnormal maturity. Back then, I didn’t have access to the world wide web nor am I aware it even existed. Words like cyberspace, internet, ISPs, emoticons, email, E-bay, and blogging sounded strange to me. Well, not anymore.

Blogosphere reminds me of my inner-childish-self. Who would have thought that by writing my thoughts and having my own online diary would help me grow as an individual? I could write endless and numerous reasons why I blog and people will even get tired of me blabbing nonsense. I don’t really want to bore you to death and I certainly don’t want you to die from boredom so relax, be merry, have fun and read on…

    1) Blogging has become my stress reliever. After a stressful day at work who wouldn’t want to blog?

    2) Blogging is sharing. Sound familiar? You bet! Through blogging I can just randomly write about ANYTHING on my mind, share my views on broad and sensitive subjects (like porn? Hehehe), what I agree and not agree on.

    3) Blogging holds freedom of speech for anyone, everyone regardless of sex, race, status etc. Blogging is another way for me to let you know that I am also a sucker like you.

    4) Blogging is also an additional alternative for me to absorb new things from fellow bloggers, wackos, and nerds alike. It’s fun and exciting to read entries from bloggers who are just “world wide web apart.”

The world probably know now that I simply blog for fun. I blog mostly about my dysfunctional self, my misadventures, my frustrations, my never-ending quest for knowledge and fountain of youth, my insecurities, and of course, the missing link: LOVE LIFE (lol). Whatever reasons I may have forgot to include in this post, I sure hope you enjoy reading and continue blogging.

Boots Boots Boots!!!!

Whew! I’ve been looking for my winter boots since last night. I pleaded to my younger brother to help me look for my lost boots. I wouldn’t be spending 2 hours searching for my boots if I can just remember where I’ve kept them. I knew that I always put them somewhere in my closet and yes, my closet is not big enough. I don’t really own a huge amount of clothes and honestly, my entire wardrobe need a make-over. I haven’t really got the time to sort all of my clothes and my summer clothes are still in my dirty laundry. Can you believe how disorganize I am? Better believe it dude. I know am sorry but I am not really sorry, ya know. In the back of my mind, I know where I usually keep my belongings and “abubot”. If I live alone, I wouldn’t be this dis-organize but anyway I don’t really want to blame my siblings although yeah, they are guilty. Did I just contradict myself….again? Hmmm…well…kinda.

After cooking Korean noodle/ramen or whatever you may wanna call it, I went downstairs and started looking for my lost boots. While searching for my boots, I glance on the other corner and found out that I have some dirty bedsheets that needs to be wash. It doesn’t take much time to do laundry (I just hate folding clothes, honestly!) so I let the washing machine do the work. I am such a genius, right? Right, so back to my booties. I am not aware how many pair of shoes I have but mostly I like wearing rubber shoes. I don’t buy expensive-brand-name-shoes since they are too expensive but when I do, I buy them on sale. Hell! I am not gonna buy something that’s way out of my budget!

Today is probably my lucky day because I didn’t spend hours and hours looking for my boots. I found them in less than 20 minutes which is by the way, a record holder for me. Hahaha! Great! Oh look, I also found my sister’s Ugg boots (Whoa! didn’t know that she got an Ugg booty! Should I try it on or loan it from her? Now that’s a thought…). Enough of that, I am going out later with my sister so hopefully we’ll be able to take some cool snapshots.

Oh by the way, I almost forgot about my laundry….
