What a cutie pie! I mentioned in a previous post that I recently rented Ratatouille from Blockbuster and I am really glad that I did! The movie opened a whole-rat-new-world for me and throughout the movie, I didn’t feel bored watching it. In fact, I was ecstatic the whole time! If you’re like me who can’t really watch horrific, violent, morbid and bloody movies, I highly recommend this movie. I just love watching animated movies…movies that crack me up. I didn’t get the humor of Napoleon Dynamite however. I just don’t dig the nerdy character the actor was playing. I’ve watched a lot of movies and here are the few worst movies (in my own point of view!). No need to hate me peeps!
- Open Water: Really now? Why do you have to fight off sharks and just gave up everything in the end?
- Jeepers Creepers: Huh?!? Another one of those “high school themed” movie where the actors were totally trying to scare themselves to death but appear to be really faked!
- Wax: Paris Hilton? Geez, am I suppose to applaud Ms. Hilton’s forgettable scary performance? Lame story, lame actress. Period.
- Final Destination: Chop off body parts check. Stupid story lines check. Forget it.
I haven’t been blogging lately. I know that and I am aware of that fact. There is no excuse actually. It’s not because I am being lazy but I have been working like a mad woman for the past four weeks. There are so many paper works that needs to be done at work but not enough people to do the actual job. Self pity, perhaps? That’s how I feel, at least.
I am not actually complaining but I really missed all the good-and-not-so-good-times I usually have during my two days off. But not lately. I have to work 6 days a week (whoa!) with not enough time for some relaxation. My boss has been firing her people lately and I don’t exactly know what is going on her complex brain. She just keeps on firing people and not hiring back up! So yeah, I am stuck with all the work that is usually the job for five people! Ouch!
I had a terrible day yesterday. Yeah, Veteran’s Day and I heard it’s supposed to be a “holiday.” Anyway, I don’t wanna keep on venting how terrible my day was but I could definitely assure you that I had a blast at work. Since it’s Tuesdays @ Blockbuster and I just had the sudden urged to rent movies. Sort of a “movie therapy” for me, to release my stress. I haven’t seen any good movies lately because I simply don’t have any extra time to spare. I plan on watching them this week. I’ve rented 9 movies thus far and just finished watching the Transformers and Shrek 3. I love the Transformers! What an awesome movie! It gave me a bit of an headache ‘coz for once I thought my whole world we’re spinning spirally. Fantastic graphics! Yes, Optimus Prime! I feel so sorry for Bumblebee though. I am sooo glad he didn’t die in the movie!
Shrek the Third is a bit disappointing though. I didn’t quite like the storyline this time. I didn’t think it was hilarious compared to previous two releases. I still love Donkey and Puss and yeah, those little Donkey dragons and little cutesy ogres! I guess, they were running out of story lines. Not sure if they are gonna make Shrek 4 but if they do, I hope that they will have something more hilarious scenes and more great punchlines! What ever happened to comedy this time?
Thanks to all of you who visit my site and read my blog entries (just wishful thinking here). Also, to my fellow bloggers Rhapsody and Girl Interrupted, thanks for tagging me and I will have my reply soon. Okay, I’ll do blog hopping now.
A few weeks ago, I’ve decided to watch the new Harry Potter movie (Order of the Phoenix) with my siblings Abby and Ron. Although I have seen all of the previous Potter movies, I am a bit doubtful about the new HP movie. Based from my past HP movie experience, the undeniable disappointments of how the movie producers interpreted Harry Potter, I have come to realized that they did a very lousy job.
I think that they have taken out a lot of important facts in the books. It’s like having a shortcut. As an avid Harry Potter and JK Rowling fan, I really wish that they didn’t “rush” making the movies. I think that I keep on comparing Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings trilogy movie interpretations. I also love Lord of the Rings (especially the books) and they really did an explendid job of making the movie and the writer’s imagination seemed like more a reality.
There are two more remaining Harry Potter movie installments and soon I will be rambling (again!) how the movie goes. I hope it will be not another lousy disappointment on my part.
I often challenged myself with things that I can’t simply comprehend especially when the situation gets tough. One of these challenges is of course, to watch movies as many as I can. I would most likely watch chick flicks, cartoons, adventures and romantic movies but it is not fun if I would just stick to those kind of movies. Hmmm, no…I can’t watch horror movies. I believe that it is not my forte. I scare myself easily, I freak out…and I would most likely suffer another sleepless night just by watching horror movies. My gut can’t bloody well take horror movies! Anyway, I would like to watch the movies that are listed under Top 100 Movies Of All Time. I know that I’ve seen a lot of movies but I wonder if they are even listed under the Top 100 Movies of All Time category. The movies that I like to watch are those movies with Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck, Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Alfred Hitchcock movies. I will post my movie challenge later. It’s time to brew coffee….
